Tanya Monroe will resign as superintendent of Brownfield ISD at 6:30 p.m. Monday and will become the new superintendent of Comfort ISD.
Comfort, Texas is roughly 45 miles northwest of San Antonio.
During Monday’s Brownfield ISD Board of Trustees meeting, the board will select an interim superintendent and discuss the search process for Monroe’s replacement, according to the board agenda.
Comfort ISD named Monroe as the sole finalist for superintendent at a November board meeting, according to TownTalkRadio.com.
