The Buddy Holly Center presents Outlier in concert during the Summer Showcase Concert Series Thursday, August 2 from 5:30 p.m.-7:30 p.m. in the Meadows Courtyard. The concert is free and open to the public.

The evening will include:

  • Children’s activities
  • Cash Bar
  • Food truck fare (only beverages purchased onsite will be allowed in the courtyard)

Composed of guitarist, pianist and vocalist, Anthony Garcia and violinist and vocalist, Melanie Lenau, this duo recorded their debut album in 2012 after meeting in Busan, South Korea. The duo has composed a substantial body of original music and play a versatile cover repertoire reflecting their travels and love for songwriting. Their music set includes traditional Irish, Spanish, obscure rock classics, blues, country, and even some jazz standards. Not only does Outlier perform overseas, the duo performs regularly throughout West Texas, the Texas Hill Country, New Mexico, and even Lenau’s native Michigan.

The 2018 Summer Showcase Concert Series runs every Thursday through August 23rd from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. in the Meadows Courtyard.
