The Bailey County Sheriff’s Office is searching for Jose Antonio Salazar Orantes, 31. Sheriff Richard Wills said he is a person of interest in a child abuse case.
Orantes may be armed with a firearm.
He was last seen wearing black shorts, no short and walking with an “aggressive” blue heeler/pit bull mixed breed dog. He is between 5’2” and 5’6”.
Orantes was last seen in the Progress area in Bailey County, Wills said.
A warrant for his arrest was issued Tuesday night.

Kimberly Yesenia Morataya was also arrested in this case.
Morataya is charged with injury to a child with the intent of bodily harm. She is also being held on a retainer for ICE (Immigration and Customs Enforcement).
