Children’s Advocacy Center of the South Plains holds the Purses for a Purpose fundraiser Thursday, Aug. 9th at the Grand at Reagor-Dykes Downtown, 1215 Avenue J, from 6 to 9 pm. Doors open at 6:00 with the Purse Drawings beginning at 7:00 p.m.

Reserve seat tickets are $50 each. A table for 8 is $350. There are a limited number of tickets on sale now and can be purchased by calling the Children’s Advocacy Center at 806-740-0251.

An event ticket gets you into the event with 25 chances to win 1 of 32 designer purses. Enjoy entertainment by Dan Patterson while you taste a variety of hors d’oeuvres and desserts with complimentary tea and water. Additional 25 purse raffle tickets are available at the event for $10. Designers include: Coach, Michael Kors, Vince Camuto, Gianni Bini, Antonio Milani, Brahmin, Consuela, Dooney & Bourke, Kate Spade, and Vera Bradley. Cash bar features $3 wine, beer and champagne and $5 martinis.

The designer purses are displayed with a drawing drop-box in front of it. Place your chance stub(s) in the box of any purse you would like to win. Drawings will be held throughout the event. You must be present to win and must show your matching stub number. At the end of the evening will be the drawing for the genuine Louis Vuitton Neverfull Tote. (Sold Out)

All proceeds benefit the Children’s Advocacy Center of the South Plains. The Children’s Advocacy Center is a non-profit agency dedicated to providing services for child victims of sexual and physical abuse in Lubbock and the surrounding 14 counties of the South Plains. Established in 1998, the center’s mission is to bring together community resources to speed the healing of child victims of abuse and trauma. Children and families are provided with a child-friendly environment, highly skilled forensic interviews, family advocacy and free therapy.

The Center strives to ensure that all children receive the highest standard of care through their vision of Every Child, Every Service, Every Effort.
