The City of Lubbock Health Department is hosting a flu clinic on Saturday October 13th from 9 am to 1 pm at the Health Department located at 806 18th Street. This clinic was scheduled to be held at the Downtown Farmer’s Market but is being moved due to forecasted inclement weather.
No appointment is necessary for this event. The cost of the flu vaccine is $20. Free flu vaccine is available for children without insurance and individuals with active Medicare, Medicaid or CHIP.
Flu vaccines provide annual protection and flu strains change regularly, so it is important to get a flu shot every year. Everyone 6 months and older is encouraged to get a flu shot.
