Saturday, November 25 is Small Business Saturday. Mayor Dan Pope and the City Council will recognize the significant contributions small businesses make in Lubbock with a Special Recognition on Monday, November 20. The event, done in partnership with the Lubbock Chamber of Commerce, will be held at Piper, 5604 Slide Road #700 and is scheduled to start at 12:00 p.m.

According to the National Federation of Independent Business and American Express, an estimated 112 million people shopped at small businesses during last year’s Small Business Saturday. That is the largest number of people to visit a local business on Small Business Saturday since the event started in 2010.
