One person has life-threatening injuries after being shot in the head in Clovis, New Mexico.
On Thursday, July 5, at about 2:19 a.m., Clovis Police officers were called to a residence for a report of a person injured by gunfire.
Officials said the 911 caller said a friend was “playing” with a firearm. He said they had been consuming alcoholic beverages and his friend was shot in the head.
Officers and EMS found a 23-year-old man with a gunshot wound to the head. Officials said he was transported to Plains Regional Medical Center with life-threatening injuries.
He was then transported to a hospital in Lubbock.
The investigation into this incident is ongoing.
