Since we first brought you his story, things have been going pretty well for Estevan Aguilar, the 13-year-old mowing lawns to buy his siblings school supplies.
“I want to mow more lawns to get better at what I’m doing and keep helping my family,” Aguilar said.
Well, less than a week later, he has already mowed 30 yards.
With the help of so many generous community members, the family says they have more than enough school supplies to start off the school year.
“This one lady and her son brought us three bags of school supplies and backpacks and everything we need for the school year,” Aguilar said.
They’ve received things like new backpacks, pencils, notebooks and binders.
The family says they’re so thankful of everyone’s willingness to give.
“The woman [who donated to us] said they know what it’s like to be in the position we are in,” Aguilar said.
Estevan’s mom, Evalena said they’ve even received support from people all the way in Phoenix, Arizona who heard about Estevan’s story.
