The following is a news release from the City of Lubbock:
District 4 Lubbock City Councilman Steve Massengale will host a Public Safety Town Hall on Tuesday, June 26. The meeting will be held at Lubbock ISD’s Miller Elementary School, 6705 Joliet Drive, and is scheduled to start and 5:30 p.m.
The meeting will include presentations from Lubbock Police regarding neighborhood watch programs, home security, the curfew ordinance, and more. City of Lubbock Emergency Management will share safety information regarding severe weather season and registration information for the LBKAlert Emergency Notification System. Councilman Massengale will also provide an update on the Public Safety Improvements Project.
Following the presentations, attendees will be able to visit separately with Councilman Massengale, Police, and staff from Emergency Management and Code Enforcement.
