LUBBOCK, Texas – Covenant Children’s welcomed their first baby born in 2020 early Wednesday morning.
A spokesperson for Covenant Health said a baby boy, Daxxton Case Castro, was born at 2:21 AM CST.
Daxxton weighs 8 pounds, 12 ounces and is 21.5 inches long.
The mother and child are said to be doing great.
The family was presented with a special gift from hospital staff at an event Wednesday afternoon.
