A crash report was released Monday by Lubbock Police related to a deadly accident on August 3 at South Loop 289 and Indiana Avenue. It provided names of two people that had not been previously disclosed in public statements.
The crash report said Alexander P. May, 26, was driving a pickup truck westbound in the eastbound lanes. His pickup collided with a car driven by Jonathan Pesqueda, 18, of Lubbock. Pesqueda lost his life.
The crash report said May and his passenger, Cody C. James, 22, were taken by EMS to Covenant Medical Center. The owner of the car was listed as a Midland resident. Texas driver license records indicated May is from Midland.
Police already said alcohol may have been a factor and the crash report repeats that information.
May suffered serious injuries according to the new report. Covenant did not have a listing of James on Monday. May was listed as being in fair condition on Monday.
