Lubbock Fire Rescue battled heavy smoke and flames at a trailer home fire at University Avenue and 114th Street Monday morning.
A spokesperson for LFR said crews responded around 7:20 a.m. They went inside the trailer to attack the fire, but they had to pull back and go on the defensive.
“Crews entered the front door to find the fire and extinguish it but were forced back out due to heavy fire and structure conditions,” LFR said.
According to initial reports, trailers in the area were being evacuated.
The fire was extinguished from outside the trailer home, LFR said.
There are no reported injuries at this time.
The Fire Marshal’s Office was investigating the cause of the fire.
