On Tuesday, the Texas Department of Public Safety released the name of the man found dead Sept. 19 along I-27 north of Abernathy.
Caleb Miller, 25, was identified as the deceased, Lt. Bryan Witt with DPS said. He was from Nevada, and his next of kin was notified.
The investigation shows Miller was struck by a vehicle, Witt said.
No suspects or vehicles have been identified at this time, Witt said. The investigation is ongoing.
