The Texas Department of Public Safety on Wednesday released the name of the UTV driver who was critically injured in Lubbock County on Saturday.  

He was publicly identified as Javon Bradshaw-Dent, 17.  University Medical Center said on Wednesday he was listed in serious condition.  

Emergency responders were called to County Road 6400 near Reese Center for an accident.  Officials initially said four teenagers were injured when a UTV (utility task vehicle) hit a tree.  

At first DPS said the driver was in critical condition.  He was airlifted to UMC.   

The other teens were treated and released from a Lubbock hospital, DPS said.
