The Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS) was called to a major crash yesterday, June 19, at FM 40 and CR 3300 in Lubbock County at approximately 12:27 p.m.
DPS Troopers determined that Richard Glen Harris, 64, of Lubbock, was traveling west on FM 40 on a 2008 Yamaha motorcycle when he lost control and crashed. Harris was ejected from the motorcycle. Harris was transported to University Medical Center in Lubbock where he was pronounced deceased. Harris was wearing a motorcycle helmet.
DPS Troopers are continuing to investigate the crash and will be at FM 40 and CR 3300 this morning taking measurements. Motorists should to be advised to avoid the area from 8:30 a.m. until 10:30 a.m.
