16-year-old killed in crash involving Greyhound bus in Ralls

RALLS, Texas — The Texas Department of Public Safety responded to a fatal crash outside of Ralls just after 10:00 p.m. Monday.

According to DPS, the crash happened on U.S. Highway 62 near the Ralls Cemetery and involved a Greyhound bus and a pick-up truck.

DPS says the pick-up was traveling southbound on US HWY 62 approaching the intersection of US HWY 82. The bus was traveling westbound on US HWY 82 approaching the intersection of US HWY 62. The pick-up truck driver failed to yield the right of way at the intersection and traveling in front of the bus.

DPS confirming 16-year-old Ryan Sosa Soliz died as a result of the crash. The driver and 16 passengers of the Greyhound are expected to be okay.
