On Wednesday, the Texas Department of Public Saftey and Hockley County Sheriff’s deputies responded to multiple crashes on Highway 84 and Interstate 27.

According to DPS, the crashes are along U.S. Highway 84 in the Roundup area, between Anton and Shallowater. The crashes on Interstate 27 are south of Abernathy.
On Highway 84, Lieutenant Bryan Witt with DPS said there is an overturned truck, and because of that crash and zero visibility, there have been five other crashes in the area.
DPS said the road was shut down on Highway 84 while they cleared the area. At about5 8:00 pm, DPS said the highway was back open.
As for Interstate 27, he said traffic was diverted to the service road for a time.
At this time, no injuries have been reported at any of the crash locations.
