On Monday, the Texas Department of Public Safety released updated information about a deadly crash that happened on July 6.
DPS said a pickup truck was going eastbound on US Highway 84 two miles west of Anton. DPS said the driver of the pickup truck overcorrected after changing lanes. The truck rolled with both the driver and a passenger being ejected, DPS said.
DPS said the driver, Darrel Jerome Johnson, 50, of Littlefield, and the passenger, Jessica Jeanette Comer, 37, of Lubbock, were both transported to University Medical Center with critical injuries.
DPS said Comer later passed away at UMC.
