Emergency crews responded to a three vehicle crash in far northwestern Lubbock County Saturday afternoon involving a school bus.
The accident was reported around 4:30 p.m., at the intersection of U.S. Highway 84 and County Road 1000, between Shallowater and Anton..
According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, a Springlake-Earth ISD school bus and a GMC pickup truck were traveling westbound on U.S. Highway 84.
A Dodge passenger car turned left off of Country Road 1000 and collided with the pickup truck. This caused the pickup truck to then collide with the school bus.
DPS said there were 20 students onboard the school bus, members of the Springlake-Earth ISD band.
One student was transported to University Medical Center in Lubbock with minor injuries.
The driver of the school bus, identified as David Rogers, 25, was no injured.
Brian Lee Davila, 26, of Littlefield was transported to University Medical Center with unknown injuries. Davila was identified as the driver of the pickup truck.
The driver of the car and the passenger were not injured. DPS identified the driver as Blanco Rodrigo Palomo, 21, of Illinois.
Palomo was cited for failure to yield the right of way.
