One person was killed in a two vehicle crash early Wednesday morning in Garza County, according to the Texas Department of Public Safety.
The accident was reported around 2:30 a.m. on U.S. Highway 380, west of Post and just west of County Road 105.
DPS said a westbound Ford pickup truck crossed the center line and collided with an eastbound semi-truck on U.S. Highway 380. DPS later identified the driver of the pickup truck as Jarod Burton Foshee, 19, of Caneyville, Kentucky.
The semi-truck driver attempted to avoid the crash but still collided with the pickup truck.
Foshee was pronounced deceased at the scene.
The semi-truck driver was not injured.
DPS said the pickup truck did catch on fire, but Foshee was pulled from the vehicle before it caught fire.
