On Monday, a routine check of court records showed that police confiscated 3.66 pounds of methamphetamine (which is less than two kilos) in the 2100 block of 32nd Street.
Police executed a search warrant on August 29. It resulted in the arrest of Enrique Ezequil Maldonado, 43, and Cynthia Reyes Maldonado, 37. Both were held Monday on bonds of more than $500,000 each.
Police asked for a search warrant after a couple of traffic stops turned up drugs that officials could track back to the Maldonado residence. The house had already been under surveillance when police asked for a search warrant.
In addition to the meth, police confiscated nearly five ounces of marijuana, three digital scales, a handgun, ledgers and police radio scanners.
In addition to the drug charges both Enrique and Cynthia were charged as convicted felons in possession of a firearm. The criminal charges against them were still pending Monday.
