LUBBOCK, Texas — On Thursday, game developer Electronic Arts announced that Patrick Mahomes will be on the cover of Madden 20, the football video game.
Each year, a single NFL player is picked to grace the cover of the biggest football video game in the world and after an MVP season, Mahomes gets his turn.
“I played Madden with my dad when I was a kid, and this is definitely a full circle moment for me,” said Mahomes, in a written statement.
Former Madden cover athletes include quarterbacks like Tom Brady, Drew Brees, Brett Favre, and Donovan McNabb.
