The Early Learning Centers of Lubbock, a Lubbock Area United Way Agency providing educational childcare, is now enrolling infants through preschool children for the fall semester.
The Early Learning Centers operates five centers, four are open to the public and one is in an LISD high school and is for LISD students who have young children (New Directions). With assistance from United Way, CH Foundation, Community Foundation of West Texas, CCS and other sources, parents pay tuition based on their income. The average cost for one child enrolled full-time for one week is between $65 and $125, we give 2nd and 3rd child discounts too!
Trained teachers work with each age group, providing an educational program based on developmentally appropriate lesson plans and hands on learning. All meals, including infant formula, are provided at no additional cost to the parents through the USDA Child Care Food Program.
All five centers are licensed by the state of Texas and are participants in the quality standards program called Texas Rising Star. All staff must pass multiple background checks, attend a minimum of 30 hours to training annually and be CPR & First Aid certified.
The four centers opened to the public are open M-F, 630 a.m. – 600 p.m., year-round, New Directions is opened during school days 745 a.m. – 430 p.m.. For more information please call 806-765-9981.
