LUBBOCK, Texas — On Friday, the Texas Department of Public Safety and Emergency Medical Services responded to a rollover crash at Highway 114 and County Road 1100 around 3:44 p.m.
According to DPS, one man was seriously injured and remains in critical condition. A woman passenger was also in the car and sustained minor injuries, DPS said.
The cause of the crash could have been a defective tire, but they are still investigating, DPS said.
A photojournalist at the scene said EMS took one or more people off the scene with red lights and sirens. The photojournalist also said officials blocked traffic at that location.
West Carlisle Volunteer Fire Department also responded to the scene.
