Need a date night without the kids? Maxey Community Center will be hosting Fantastic Friday, a Parent’s Night Out event, on Friday, September 14, 2018 from 6:00-10:00 p.m. for youth ages 6-12 years old. Kids will enjoy games, activities, crafts, pizza and drinks. Cost is $20 per child for four hours. Pre-registration is required by Wednesday, September 12. Parents can register their child online at www.playlubbock.com. Maxey will be offering Fantastic Friday once a month to give parents a free evening. Upcoming dates are October 5, November 9, December 14, and January 11.
Maxey Community Center is located at 4020 30th Street. Hours of operation are Monday-Thursday from 8:30 a.m. – Noon and 1:00 – 8:00 p.m., Fridays 8:30 a.m. – Noon and 1:00 – 5:30 p.m., and Saturdays from 9:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. For more information, call the center at (806) 767-3796.
