The following is a news release from Lubbock ISD:

Local Masonic Lodge representatives will be at Bowie Elementary School on Thursday to kick off the Fantastic Teeth program, a statewide Masonic initiative to promote youth dental health.

All first-grade students in Lubbock ISD will receive free dental hygiene kits including a toothbrush, toothpaste, dental floss, a two-minute timer and educational information in both English and Spanish.

The presentation will begin at 10:30 a.m. in the library at Bowie Elementary School, 2902 Chicago Ave., on Thursday, February 15. First-grade students at Bowie will receive their dental hygiene kits from the Lodge members at the event.

The Fantastic Teeth Fan Club is a program created by the Masonic Home and School of Texas to help children and parents learn to prevent painful dental problems and avoid expensive treatment. Lubbock area Masons have provided more than 30,000 kits in 90 regional schools since the program began in the Lubbock area in 2013.
