Lubbock Fire Rescue responded for an apartment fire in the 4400 block of 82nd Street around midnight Friday morning.
LFR said there was a small fire outside of the door to an apartment.
“The occupants of the apartment discovered the fire and sheltered in place while fire crews extinguished the fire,” LFR said. “Once the fire was extinguished the two occupants were assisted…”
The fire marshal’s office was called to the scene to investigate.
“It has been ruled as incendiary and the investigation is ongoing,” LFR said. Incendiary means related to arson.
LFR said anyone with information was asked to contact the fire marshal’s office at 806-775-2646.
