The Lubbock Police Department and other first responders were called to a rollover crash in the 2500 block of the Marsha Sharp Freeway just before 10:30 p.m. Thursday night.

According to LPD, one car lost control, and two people were thrown from the vehicle. Both were taken to UMC with critical injuries.
A photojournalist on the scene said there was a heavy police presence at the time of the crash.
Police shut down the eastbbound lanes of the freeway while they investigated. As of 6 a.m, LPD said all lanes of Marsha Sharp were back open.
