Phone calls about overdue electric bills from Lighthouse or Western Electric could be attempted scams, the Floydada Police Department said Friday.
The scammers claim they will cut off power if a bill is not paid, according to Floydada PD. If you receive a call, Floydada PD said to contact the police.
Do not give any personal information if you receive a call from a possible scam artist.
Floydada PD said to contact your provider directly if you have concerns about your utilities.
