Chandler stated, “This wasn’t a spontaneous decision, this was the result of days and week of planning.  We can all remember where we were when we heard that three dangerous inmates had escaped.  The ripple effect of fear spread across the community.” Chandler sentenced Dodson to 10 ½ years with 18 months being suspended in favor of supervised probation.

Brian Stover, Chief Deputy District Attorney prosecuted the case for the State.  Dodson was represented by Francis Rio, Attorney at Law.
