A former Lubbock resident, Stormie Devon Callison, 22, was identified as the victim of a deadly February 1 shooting in Bartlett, Texas.
According to the Burnet County Sheriff’s Office, officers found the suspect’s vehicle in Burnet County more than six hours after the shooting. The Williamson County Sheriff’s Office and DPS helped out.
“The suspect was believed to be armed,” an official statement said. “A DPS Aviation Unit drone was used to observe the suspect, who was still at his vehicle, while a tactical unit was assembled to apprehend him.”
Archie Samuel Rogers, 32, of Bartlett was arrested according to the Williamson County Sheriff’s Office.
Officials have not said how Rogers and Callison knew each other. The shooting was at an address that matches Roger’s address on his driver license. EverythingLubbock.com independently confirmed that Callison used to work at a sports bar in Lubbock. She left Lubbock at least six months ago, according to people who knew here.
Rogers was charged with murder, and held on a $500,000 bond.
Her family has set up a GoFundMe account in her honor. On the fundraising page, the family said the money donated will go toward a scholarship in her honor.

Williamson County released the following statement prior to the victim being publicly identified:
On February 1, just after 4:00PM the Bartlett, Texas Police Department responded to an address located at 624 W Jackson Street for a deceased person found in the residence with a gunshot wound. The Bartlett Police Department requested assistance from the Williamson County Sheriff’s Office (WCSO) to assist. The WCSO responded with the Patrol Division, Criminal Investigations Division and a Crime Scene Unit.
As a result of the diligent work by detectives with the WCSO a suspect and vehicle were identified. At approximately 10:19PM the WCSO asked for assistance from the Burnet County Sheriff’s Office (BCSO) to search a location in the 7200 Blk of Burnet County Road 243 for the suspected vehicle.
With the assistance of a Texas Department of Public Safety Air Unit the truck was located, however due to weather the air unit returned to base before locating the suspect.
At approximately 5:05AM an infrared capably WCSO Drone located the suspect on foot and away from the vehicle. At approximately 5:21AM on February 02, 2019 the suspect surrendered to the members of Williamson County SWAT without incident.
The suspect is identified as Archie Samuel ROGERS Jr. of Bartlett, Texas. He is in custody at the Williamson County Jail charged with 1st degree Murder. Bond has not been set at this time. The victim has not been identified pending notification of family.
The Williamson County Sheriff’s Office credits the Bartlett Police Department, The Burnet County Sheriff’s Office, the Texas Department of Public Safety and the Texas Parks & Wildlife Game Wardens for working together to not only identify the suspect, but to apprehend him within thirteen (13) hours of the initial call.
No further threat to the public as a result of this Homicide.
