First United Methodist Church of Lubbock will host their 26th Annual Community-Wide Thanksgiving Dinner on Saturday, November 17.

The dinner will be served from 11:00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at the Christian Life Center, located between 13th and Avenues O and M. 

The Lubbock community is invited to the dinner that will be made and served by volunteers with donations from local businesses. 

First United Methodist Church said they anticipate serving 1,200 turkey dinners during the event. 

The church said nearly 200 volunteers will be serving the meals.  

Over 24,000 people have been served in the community since the annual Thanksgiving dinner began in 1993.
