The Lubbock Municipal Garden and Arts Center (GAC) will host a reception on Friday, July 7, 2017 from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. for the opening of an exhibition of works by the Lubbock Camera Club. The exhibition and reception is in conjunction with the First Friday Art Trail and is free for the public. The Lubbock Camera Club was organized in the early 1970s when a handful of photographers came together to “promote photography as a mutual interest.” The club now boasts more than 90 members working in both film and digital photography. The Lubbock Camera Club meets every second Tuesday at Connect Church from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.

The Lubbock Municipal Garden and Arts Center strives to offer an array of fun and comprehensive classes and events for all ages, from basic classes in painting, drawing and photography, to specialized classes such as faux finishing.
