The Children’s Home of Lubbock will host its annual golf tournament on Monday, May, 6, 2019 at the Lakeridge Country Club. There will be a morning and afternoon flight starting at 7:45 a.m and 1:30 p.m.
This tournament will give local golfers the chance to tee off with golf professional Bobby Wilson who is a previous long-drive champion and was inducted into the Long Drive Hall of Fame. There will also be prizes for teams and individuals.
The money raised at the tournament will go toward the transportation needs of the home, including the purchase of new vans.
“With the number of children in each of our cottages, you can imagine what a beating our vehicles take each year,” said The Children’s Home of Lubbock.
The Children’s Home said more than $100,000 was raised last year.
