The Goodyear Blimp “Wingfoot Two” will make an appearance in Lubbock from October 20 – October 23.

The blimp “… embarks on a 2,600-mile, cross-country journey from Akron, Ohio to Los Angeles [Sunday, October 8] with a 26-person crew and caravan of nine ground vehicles,” Goodyear said in a news release.

Goodyear also said, “In Lubbock, Texas, Wingfoot Two will take part in the 75th anniversary of customer McWhorter Tire Co.”

“This is an exciting milestone for Goodyear as we look forward to introducing our new generation of Goodyear blimps to the west coast and engaging fans along our tour route to create new memories of the Goodyear Blimp across America,” said Paul Fitzhenry, Goodyear’s senior vice president, Global Communications.

Wingfoot Two has a maximum ground speed of more than 70 miles per hour and seats up to 12 passengers.
