On Friday, July 20, High Point Village will host the first annual golf tournament fundraiser, High Point Village Classic: Recognizing AbiliTEES. The proceeds from this tournament will aid us in continuing to provide Villagers, individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities, a place to live, learn, work, worship, and achieve their full potential at High Point Village. The event will be held at the Rawls Golf Course at Texas Tech University. It will include a lunch, raffle prizes donated from generous members of the community, an 18-hole scramble, and an awards ceremony. Cash prizes will be awarded for First, Second, and Third Place teams. Check-in begins on the day of the tournament at 11:30 and the shotgun starts at 1:30. Each team will consist of four people and the registration for each team is $500 “We are excited to host our first tournament,” Executive Director Doug Spearman said. “Thanks to the generosity of the many community supporters,we are able to make a significant difference in the lives of people with special needs.” Team Spots are limited.
