Lubbock Police arrested a man at about 11:20 Tuesday morning after a high-speed chase.
Police said officers located a stolen pickup truck at 4316 34th Street.
“When officers tried to pull the vehicle over, the driver led officers on a chase,” police said. “After a short chase, the suspect then stopped the vehicle at 42nd Street between Boston & Akron and took off on foot.”
The truck had been stolen from someone in Slaton.
Lubbock Police arrested Joel Anthony Castro, 29, of Slaton. Castro was charged with forgery of a government document, evading arrest, attempted evasion in a motor vehicle, and unauthorized use of a motor vehicle.
Castro was held Wednesday in the Lubbock County Detention Center on bonds totaling $36,000.
A neighbor, Alfredo Salinas, took video of the arrest and posted it to Facebook.
