The Country Place Homeowner’s Association filed a lawsuit Monday seeking to foreclose the home of Marc Harmon in the 2300 block of Slide Road.

The lawsuit said Harmon failed to pay homeowner’s association fees.  The lawsuit said as of Monday (June 12), the association was owed $1,748.82.

The lawsuit said collection efforts began in February.

Harmon purchased the property in 2014 which included restrictive covenants and conditions for the homeowner’s association.

The home was listed by the Lubbock Central Appraisal District as having a taxable value of $142,603 and an appraised value of $147,942.  The home was listed for both a homestead exemption and a disabled person exemption.

Among other things, the lawsuit seeks “the judicial foreclosure of the Association’s Assessment Lien and the sale of the property in according with the Texas Rule of Civil Procedure…”

A call was placed to the attorney for the Country Place Homeowner’s Association.  For now, the association chose not to comment but an update will be provided if the association chooses to comment.

An attempt to reach Harmon by phone was not successful.
