The Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) is scheduled to close the I-27 mainlanes, from mile markers 9 to 11, to traffic on Monday morning, June 25, to allow the Texas Department of Public Safety (TxDPS) to safely conduct a crash scene investigation.
Both the north and southbound mainlanes will be closed and all traffic will be detoured onto the I-27 frontage roads. Drivers should anticipate delays.
The closure is scheduled to begin at 9 a.m. and expected to remain in place until 3 p.m. or when troopers conclude their investigation. Motorists are advised to stay alert and to watch out for TxDOT crews setting up the closure.
