Jury sentences Lubbock man to 40 years in 2017 robbery case

The following is a news release from the Office of the Criminal District Attorney K. Sunshine Stanek:

On Thursday, February 21, 2019 in the 137th District Court, a Lubbock County Jury returned verdict of 40 years in the trial of LaWarren Davis. 


On second day of trial, the defendant changed his plea to guilty in front of the jury for the robbery he committed on October 3, 2017.

This case was investigated by the Lubbock Police Department. Assistant District Attorneys Cara Landers and Laura Beth Fossett handled the case Garland Timms was the DA Investigator.
