Electric utility work will lead to lane closures on 50th Street and the West Loop 289 access road starting Monday, August 7. The far right lane for eastbound traffic on 50th Street will be closed from Frankford Avenue to the West Loop 289 intersection. The far right lane for southbound traffic on the West Loop 289 access road will also be closed from 50th Street to near the Lowe’s Home Improvement Store entrance.
Work is scheduled to take two to three weeks to complete. Drivers are encouraged to slow down and use caution when driving in the work zone.
