The Texas Department of Transportation is scheduled to close the two outside lanes on eastbound SH 114 (19th Street), between Memphis Avenue and Indiana Avenue, beginning Monday, August 13. The lane closures will allow for drivers to continue traveling safely along 19th Street as Covenant Medical Center performs demolition work on the medial facility’s grounds.
Weather permitting, the lanes will be closed to traffic at 9 a.m. on Monday. While no construction work is planned to take place on the closed lanes, drivers should remain alert when driving through the area.
Two lanes of eastbound 19th Street will remain open to traffic and drivers will continue to have access to southbound Indiana Avenue. Westbound 19th Street will not be impacted.
The closure is scheduled to continue through Thursday, August 23.
