A deputy with the Lubbock County Sheriff’s Office was arrested early Monday morning, according to the Lubbock Police Department.

Brandon Coulter, 32, is charged with domestic assault, a Class A misdemeanor. Officers were called to the 5200 block of Marshall Street around 2:45 a.m. in reference to a domestic disturbance, a police report stated.

A police report said Coulter assaulted his girlfriend at their shared residence.

Coulter was held in the Lubbock County Detention Center on a $1,500 bond.  By Monday afternoon, he was released.

On February 4, 2019, Lubbock County Sheriff’s Deputy, Brandon Coulter, was arrested and charged with domestic violence. At this time, the deputy has been placed on administrative leave pending further investigation. We take these allegations very seriously. An internal administrative investigation in coordination with the Lubbock Police Department is underway.
