LUBBOCK, Texas (PRESS RELEASE) — The following is a press release from the Lubbock County Sheriff’s Office:
On May 15, 2019 Sheriff’s Deputies attempted to stop a suspicious vehicle later determined to be stolen, driving west in an alley between 35th St. And Ave P.
Both subjects exited the vehicle and fled on foot, leaving the vehicle in drive. Deputies attempted to get in the vehicle to stop the vehicle from colliding with another vehicle who had pulled into the alley, but were unsuccessful. The stolen vehicle struck a box truck causing minor damage to the stolen vehicle and no damage to the truck.
EMS arrived on scene to check on the driver of the box truck but he refused medical and was cleared by EMS. .
At this time, no arrests have been made. Officers are still investigating.
