Lubbock Fire Rescue crews were dispatched to a structure fire in East Lubbock late Sunday morning that claimed the lives of two people.
The fire was reported around 11:20 a.m. in the 2200 block of East 48th Street.
Firefighters arrived on scene to find a storage building fully engulfed. They were able to make entry and knock out the fire.

LFR said an adult male was discovered on a couch inside the structure. Crews began CPR on the victim after he was removed from the building.
UMC EMS transported the victim to the hospital where he was pronounced dead.
Firefighters also found a second adult male inside. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
The cause of the fire is unknown at this tie.
The Lubbock Fire Marshal’s Office is investigating the fire.
The FMO said they would not release the cause of the fire until the Medical Examiner’s Office has determined the cause of death.
