Emergency crews was dispatched to a reported structure fire at an East Lubbock Apartment complex Saturday afternoon. 

The fire was reported around 4:00 p.m. in the 2800 block of Juniper Avenue.

An EverythingLubbock.com photographer reported there was heavy smoke and flames coming from one of the apartment complex buildings.

Lubbock Fire Rescue said the Fire Marshal’s Office was called to the scene.

It was determined that the property owner was working near the structure with a cutting torch in the area where the fire apparently started.

No injuries were reported, LFR said. 

The apartment complex as vacant.
