Fire investigators on Wednesday said a fire at Central Lubbock duplex Tuesday afternoon was started by arson.
The fire was reported around 4:30 p.m. in the 6100 block of Avenue S.
According to Lubbock Fire Rescue, crews arrived on scene to find a fire in one of the bedrooms of the duplex.
The fire was contained to that room and quickly extinguished.
The Fire Marshal’s Office was called to the scene.
The fire was ruled incendiary and the investigation is ongoing.
