A kitchen fire inside a Northeast Lubbock home Sunday afternoon displaced a family, according to Lubbock Fire Rescue.

The fire was reported just before 3:00 p.m. in the 1500 block of East Tulane. 

LFR said smoke was showing from the residence when crews arrived on scene. 

Firefighters were able to quickly extinguish the fire.

The kitchen area and the attic above the kitchen were damaged, according to LFR.

The entire home received smoke damage, displacing the residents. 

The Lubbock Fire Marshal’s Office was called to the scene to investigate.

There were no injuries reported.
