Crews with Lubbock Fire Rescue were dispatched to a vehicle fire in North Central Lubbock late Saturday evening.

The fire was reported after 10:30 p.m. in Buddy Holly Park.

Lubbock Fire Rescue told EverythingLubbock.com a van got struck while driving off road in the park.

The catalytic converter on the van started a grass fire which then caught the van on fire.

The Fire Marshal’s Office has ruled the fire accidental.

The occupants of the van reportedly had all of their possessions in the vehicle and lost everything.

The Red Cross was called to assist the occupants.
