LUBBOCK, Texas — The Lubbock ISD Board of Trustees approved a location for a new elementary school. The plan is to consolidate Guadalupe, Jackson, and Wright elementary schools into a new, single campus.
That plan was approved in November with the passage of a 2018 bond.
The new campus will be at the former Mahon Elementary School which is at the corner of Aveneu U and Cornell Street.
LISD said the new school is expected to open for the 2021-2022 school year.
